2015 Mazda3: Enjoy the Road
June 01 2015,
It is therefore not surprising that many publications both in the United States and Canada have classified the Mazda among their top choices and favourite vehicles.
Inspired by KODO visual language, the external appearance of the car is beautiful with its aggressive lines, its prominent grille, sporty headlights, pronounced curves, and sculpted rear-end with an integrated spoiler. The interior is made of high quality materials, the front seats are comfortable and maintain the driver softly in place, and there are several storage areas that certainly help improve overall versatility.
The Mazda3 is available in three versions: GX, GS, and GT. Each version is offered in 4-door sedan or five-door hatchback versions. Both the GS and GX versions are powered by a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter SKYACTIV engine producing 155 hp and 150 lb-ft of torque. The GT gets a four-cylinder, 2.5-liter SKYACTIV engine developing 184 hp and 185 lb-ft of torque. Both engines can be matted to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic.
The SKYACTIV technology, developed by Mazda, involves a comprehensive approach that includes several ingenious improvements made to the chassis, the engine and the transmission in order to increase the overall performance of Mazda vehicles while significantly improving fuel economy. Indeed, the Mazda3’s fuel consumption is one of the best in the compact vehicle segment with 7.9/5.7 liters per 100 km (city/highway) for the GX and GS, and 8.2/5.9 liters per 100 km (city/highway) for the GT version.
The Mazda 3 comes well equipped right from the get go. Standard features include keyless entry, power windows, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, Bluetooth, steering wheel audio controls, and keyless start. Several options such as navigation, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and rear cross traffic alert, notably, are also available.
The Mazda3 has several safety features, including four-wheel disc brakes with ABS - giving the Mazda vehicle one of the best stopping distances of all compact cars - as well as six airbags, traction, and stability control, and Mazda’s i-Activesense system, which includes blind spot monitoring and lane departure warning among a host of other active safety features.
Fun to drive, efficient, sporty, and safe, the 2015 Mazda3 has quite a lot to offer. Book your test drive today at City Mazda!
